Reactive Spell Check

Kapwing Smart tools -> Custom Spelling

Click and add misspelling and replacement and from now on, any transcription will use this custom spelling library. How did I not know about this!

Proactive Spell Check

Download the subtitles and then drop those into ChatGPT or Clause.ai and ask it to check punctuation and spelling only. You still have to manually make the changes in Kapwing, but it’s a great second set of “eyes” to see if you’ve missed anything.

Prompt: Check spelling and punctuation only and highlight the new corrected passage, showing where the changes were made

Paste in downloaded text from transcript

ChatGPT — doesn’t highlight within the passage

It seems easier in Claude to see the changes and then make the edits in Kapwing.
