I wanted to see how quickly and efficiently I could report on this story from the Wall Street Journal in turn this story into a sixty second short video.

So the first thing I did is I just copied all this text into a Google Doc, and I went through and made sure I got rid of all the stuff that didn't really pertain to the article. And then I copied. Into ChatGPT and I asked it to summarize this into a 45 second voice over script that's conversational and skeptical.

Include an observation of how it impacts marketing for small businesses, cite the source as the Wall Street Journal.

And then it gave me this little script and then I took it over into Descript and I pasted it in here.

Descript has this overdub feature. You load 10 minutes of recorded speech. And once you do that you can write whatever you want, change things.

So it's creating that voice from the training data.

And then I exported the audio.

And then the next thing I did is I took lines from the script and over here in MidJourney, [example:] “TikTok took Facebook out at the knees”, and I just created these visuals here to correspond with points of the script.

Then I assembled it over here in Kapwing. Set up the subtitles, a little bit of branding, and then I got a little something funny at the end.

What do you think? Do you think this is a good way for creating short video content on the fly?
